History of Web Development πΈοΈ π¨π½βπ»Thursday, October 10th, 2024

Web development began in the early 1990s with the creation of the World Wide Web by Tim Berners-Lee, who introduced HTML and the first web browser. The 1993 release of Mosaic, the first widely-used web browser, spurred interest and growth in websites. As the web expanded, technologies like HTTP and various programming frameworks emerged, leading to the development of dynamic websites in the late 1990s with CGI and later with languages like PHP and ASP. The 2000s saw the rise of AJAX for asynchronous web applications, fostering rich user experiences, and the advent of CSS allowed for better design and layout. With the introduction of mobile-first design and frameworks like Bootstrap in the 2010s, web development evolved further, accommodating diverse devices and platforms, ultimately leading to the modern web ecosystem characterized by responsive design, content management systems, and frameworks like React and Angular.
