History
Concrete is a content management system that was first developed in the year 2003 by Francz Maruna and Andrew Embler. It is an open source web builder first began when the two developers needed a better CMS for their website and built it from scratch off PHP4.
Requirements
Your web server must be compatible with PHP (Apache, Nginx, or IIS.) Must have the updated PHP version (Version 7.2 or above). Also, MySQL Version 5.1 or higher and mariaDB version 10.1 or higher
Hosted/Self-Hosted
Concrete is an open source CMS and is Self-Hosted. Concrete offers hosting services for creators of the CMS for professional support and guidance throughout.
Cost
This CMS is free but has two payment plans for hosting. One for $4.99 for smaller sites that includes a site editor, unlimited support, No access to the source code, upgrades managed, configuration support, nightly backup, 10,000 page views per month and 2GB of storage space. Next is the business option for $19 for a team managing a bigger website. Includes 5 site editors, everything included above but adding content delivery network, free SSL, DDoS protection and mitigation, 50,000 page views a month, and 20 GB storage space.
